i went to see 'get smart' last night but it had sold out. i was quite surprised. my back up plan was to see 'zohan'. i was pleasantly surprised. i really enjoyed it! ok, it wasn't very pc, especially with the palestinians. but it's not supposed to be serious (i hope) and john tuturro and rob schneider make funny terrorists ;D
what really impressed was the use of cgi in this movie. some really comic moments come from uterrly impossible scenarios using it. i won't describe them because they are best left to be discovered.
sandler was great. imaybe being jewish helped in playing an israeli commando. i give this 3 and a half qassam rockets out of 5...

That movie would have been pretty good if it had been a half hour shorter. There were way too many unnecessary scenes that weren't funny at all... like that scene where he's trying to get the Asian guy to put his junk on the old woman's head... two hours was way too long.

I saw this recently and must say it was good a movie you can watch and have alil laugh at
The trailer made it look quite crap but when i saw it was was surprised how good it was.
don't get me wrong it's not great but its a movie you would watch if you saw it on tv again

agreed. that was silly and arduous, although it set it up to explain the size of his 'package' ;D

The scene where they're playing hackysack with the cat was funny too... for thirty seconds. Then it went on for several more minutes like they forgot to clip most of it out. What was a really good scene with Mrs Garrett from Facts of Life talking about getting nailed that they cut all to hell for no reason. I wonder if they fell way behind schedule and the editing is what suffered to make the release date.
