Do you guys think we should start a thread for posting "ridiculous" sale prices as we see them?

No, we don't need to. There's a long enough Buy-it-now list on eBay
-
You mean "ridiculous" in a bad way? :)
:)
-
At some point you stop being judgemental about "ridiculous" prices (and I used to be) -- I think it happened for me about the time I started thinking of selling cabs to fund grail purchases ;)
If he can get a price that he is happy with, then good for him. If you can do it for less, then good for you. Who is the smarter person ? :dunno

I dunno man... I guess we'll see as time passes.

It's gone now so who knows what happened to it.

Just my $.02, but to me there's a difference between trying to get top dollar for something and putting something out there for a sky high price, hoping to snare an uninformed sucker. If the average selling price for something is $400-500 and you're trying to get $2500+, you're basically hoping to take advantage of someone. I mean, caveat emptor and all, but that doesn't make it right.

Dude.. Seriously..
He takes a pic with his personal hygiene items sitting on the thing, stresses that he "wants this thing out of his house ASAP!", and sets the price at 1500????
I would imagine that if he wants it out of his house so bad, he knows what it's really worth....
:dizzy:

2x 6 button controls.
21" monitor standup.
Working great!
Asking $1500 but I can negotiate. I just want this thing out of my house ASAP! I never play with it anymore. Has a hard drive, so you can put whatever you want on it. There is also a keyboard controller already installed, so this makes applications and games easily configurable (ultimarc ipac). Also, there is a happ controls coin bank in place that is fully functional and working with locks and keys too.
-
I can see why he wants it out of his house ASAP!
Living in NY (but not a NY native) I can honestly say just about everything is over priced up here. I think a lot of people (stress- not everyone) has the mentality that if you pay more for something then it's better and worth more. Every now and then you can find a good deal on something, but most of the time people ask outrageous prices, and sadly, they usually get it.

I'm sorry but I had to put this one up....

His site....is a travesty. (http://www.arcadehollywood.net)

We are aware of his blasphemy.

I wonder if that guy knows his Galaga machine isn't really a Galaga?...
That site makes me want to gouge out my eyeballs with one of those Frito Corn Chips Scoops.

Slice your eye open and pour in some Pop Rocks?

I'm not sure just how rare this game is but I think it might fit in well in this thread.

Wow....that definitely fits the thread.

I think I found the winner $3500 well unless you count my cocktail table for $4000 :laugh2: but hey, if someone wants to pay that much fine with me.

I think my favorite quotes:
This is the Rolls-Royce of video gaming!
loaded with a INTEL CPU, 256MB of DDR RAM and a spacious 80GB hard drive
Major fail.
-
Well that 256Mb is not smart. It actually costs more today to buy ancient 256Mb DRAM than 1Gb DDR2 ;D
Useless waste of profit :laugh2:
Probably he's better off using an EEE laptop inside!

Is that dude actually advertising that it plays "100,000 games"?
-
He's counting console emulation too... but still nowhere near 100k games in existence I would think...
-
well someone should buy it, then sue him for false advertising :)
no wait, there are enough stupid lawsuits already
