Title: Cheap Tubing for jukebox

If u saw my last post on jukebox designs u would noticed i mentioned tubing.

Well when i was getting the lexen at the hardware store i found the clear rubber tubing that was very very big just a bit smaller than the pvc pipes that connect to the toilet.

I checked it out and its flexable so u can make it curved and it is made for running water in the garden etc.

I put a few rope lights in it and i fitted about 12 in there (tight fit but it holds them) :)

This seams like a great thing to get for making the arched tubing on your jukebox and use for either the ropelights (could pour paint in it to when the rope light is on the whole tube flashes so u dont see the tube lighting) or u could put water in it and make a base for it so bubbles will rise up in it.

But the best thing was it was $7 a meter :o

This is perfect for a jukebox u can use the meter of tubing for a small jukebox or u can get a few meters for a large 1 :) whatever u want its great.

Now cause i live in australia (Its at hardware house)
It might not be up there in usa canada or where ever any1 else is but the product isnt called tubing or hose i dont remember what its called but its used for carrying water so it might be in the garding section (found this in the plumbing section)

Sounds interesting.  Maybe you could try to find the name of the product so that it could be easier to find information about it ?

Yeah sorry about that i saw it and thought of the jukebox forum then i forgot the name of it  :-[

I should be going to the hardware store 2day or 2morrow so i'll let u guys know ;D

get rope lights, i don't have a jukebox i dunno why i bought em, but they would work... i got red ones :)... check em out they are sold pretty much everywhere

Er... he said he had rope lights... it was the bundling and encasing of them that he was talking about.

spec look at it this way think it as a the plastic tubing used for the rope light but u could fit your arm inside

i was saying u have a the tube u can put the rope lights inside it so u can have more than 1 rope light but its in 1 tubing so it mounts easily and looks better if u were trying to mount 3 rope lights into a bunch.

i'll have to take my digicam to the hardware store for u to get an idea

it wasnt really jukebox it was to use for a jukebox its an idea

besides im famous for not explaining myself proper ;)
