Greetings all. It is time for me to take my first cab apart and make a new one fixing some of the rookie mistakes that have been bugging me. Joints, connections, stability, etc.
I built a custom one based off of various designs that accomodated my 27" inch monster of a tv that I had in my garage. Its a two player with a trackball. No spinner. My goal is to have different panels I can swap. Driving, and one for my collection of You Dont Know Jack games. (The large happ buttons work great with this game)

At first I was just going to do the same design but after looking around I started to wonder if one like the TMNT / Simpsonds design would work. So I have a few questions.
1) Are there any cabs like TMNT that are only two players?
2) Any driving cabs in this shape?
3) What would you do different in your 2nd cab.
Thanks to everyone for their support. I spent almost two years just reading and learning so without your help, my cab would just be an idea stuck in the back of my head.

i am in middle of doing 3 cabs, 1 for vertical games using a 22" tv, another a x golden tee cab that i used the existing cp and added buttons ect to it.
ive also got 2 driving cabs ,1 is a driving force with stuffed board and monitor, the other is a turbo out run that i am going to restore as its in 100% working condition but with some screen burn ( will be asking about restoring nearer time).
the driving force i am going to mame and prob fix mon or get a 25|" tv for it

Blitz and Mortal Kombat are similar shaped and are two player. That is what I used for my first cab and the second I'm building for a friend. I don't know of any dedicated driving cabinets that are shaped that way. I have seen a few Radikal Biker's in this same cab. I'm really happy with cabinet I would probably only change the cp layout slightly. My spinner is above the trackball and I generally smack it when playing golden tee, bowling, etc. I would probably add some additional color/side art or at least some different colored t-molding. It's totally black with black t-molding.

I think there's a generic Midway or something cab that a lot of games like Simpsons, Blitz, TMNT, and many others are in. The second image seems the same design except they allowed for the panel to be incorporated.
