I have a slikstik tornado spinner and I'm about to drill the hole in my CP for the spinner shaft... what size drill bit should I use?
-
I can't remember what size hole I drilled in my CP, but I do remember taking all of my spade bits and comparing the diameters with the diameter of the shaft of the spinner. I ensured that the hole I drilled was bigger than the shaft so that if my screw holes weren't lined up right it wouldn't interfere. Since the spinner itself covers a great deal of space, you can afford to make the hole a bit bigger than the spinner shaft itself.
-
I guess I'll just eyeball it by comparing my drill bits with the shaft of the spinner - I'll probably go 1/8" bigger than the shaft unless anyone chimes in...
-
I clicked on this thinking that someone was gonna rig up a drill to their spinner for SUPER FAST TEMPEST ACTION!

Sweet - I used 3/8" anyway!

I'm actually surprised the hole isn't button hole-sized.
