I am looking for a small cheapish Tablet PC with touch screen. Here is what I would like it to have/support.
$500 or less would be great but if not oh well
1024x768 res
10 to 12 inches
has to be able to run windows
support for wireless
touch screen
any idea?? :dunno

Good luck with that. Everything I'm finding is over $1000 to even get started with a smaller screen.

I used to have a NEC Versa Litepad (sold it about 6 months ago) which sounds like it meets all of your requirements. It's an older computer, so it's not real fast, but it comes with windows XP installed, 10.4'' screen at 1024x768, touchscreen and built-in wireless.

You can usually find one or two being sold on ebay at any given time.

I want to use it to connect to my jukebox through remote login. That way I can control it from through out the house.

They have homebrew software to control pc's from PSP's and Nintendo DS's. I dont know if they are powerfull enough to do what you want, but that is certainly a cheaper option if they work

Just got an ad in my email for a 12.1" 1GHz 40Gb 512Mb refurned tablet PC for $340 (http://www.geeks.com/pix/2008/MOTION.html). More expensive than the Fujitsu and it's a refurb, but pretty impressive specs for the price. It has built-in 802.11b. I don't need one but holy crap is that hard to pass up.
