Title: Looking for Star Wars Vector Artwork - Updated
Post by: vertygo on June 24, 2008, 08:28:57 pm
Anyone have vector artwork from the Star Wars arcade games ? I know I could just trace it, but if there's a library of images already, I'd prefer that.

Why isn't artwork like Star Wars and Asteroids easier to find ? Maybe it's just me.  :dunno

Just wondering if anyone wants to take a look at my first foray into vectorizing for print. Any tips to make the ship look better, etc. appreciated. I zoomed in and tried to fill any gaps. Anyway, let me know if these can be print quality someday.

And yes, I plan on doing alot more, just trying to get started doing it the right way.

Cheers!

Looks like a decent start to me...

I'm afraid I can't say much more than that as I don't know anything about tracing stuff.

What exactly are you going to use this for? Just curious as I was surprised to see you had vectorised the actual vectors from the game! Nice idea!

Right now I'm just going to vectorize a bunch of the game elements for people to use however they want. Eventually I do want to make a control panel overlay with them, maybe mixed with Asteroids, etc.
