I wasn't sure the best place for this, hopefully this is ok.
I'm curious what other companies make custom control panels? either pre designed, or custom.
I know Mamerooms has some but arn't quite what I want, and am unsure if they would customize what they have, plus id like to compare prices, and so far searching isnt helping too much :banghead:

Mameroom offers custom control panels using their control panel designer software.

wow I completely missread the customization section. Sorry about that... thanks I went back and reread, thats great.

If you have any special requirements that can't be specified in the designer, contact Scott and he'll help you and can probably quote you a price.

ArcadeRfun is another option. Although I must say I currently have an order in with him right now and at the end of this week its going to be like 10 weeks from the time he billed me and I still have no product in hand. Its supposed to ship this week, but was also supposed to ship last week so we'll see.
From what I hear he does excellent work but all I can tell you is what I have heard because I dont have mine yet to comment on. :( :(
I get the feeling he is swamped with orders right now, due to his increasingly good reputation but man that is a long time to wait. If you are a patient man I would give him a shot. If not try Mamerooms. I have yet to see any really detailed reviews of their work yet and would be curious to see what they can do.
I am indeed getting a little frustrated. I am hoping to have it before the 4th of July. We'll see.

I think Mamerooms may be my best option. It just seems so expensive for something that would cost me 50 or less if I knew how to cut a straight line :D. although it would be really nice knowing its being done right.

My guess is that he, like many other small businesses, could be currently getting hit with a high volume of orders thanks to the economic stimulus checks? My wife's carving/sign business is about like triple usual workload and custom inquiries lately. My guess is the George W. stimulus pkg is playing a roll.

I'm willing to bet the whole thing that went down with SlikStik is a driving factor in his increased workload too. There's one less option out there now.

I would love to know how you could build a control panel for $50? Depending on what setup you are looking to configure I would think the joystick/IPAC/buttons alone would cost way more than that. Maybe you are just talking about the panel itself though eh?
I'm sure SlikStiks demise has something to do with it. However, he should update his e-bay store to say 10 weeks at least. Or at least communicate the lead time to his clients prior to billing them. That way they can weigh their options which I suppose at this point is only Mamerooms or JJ's custom arcades. Not sure if there is anyone else out there that will do custom work.

oh yeah, I just meant for the box, no controls. Same as what Id get from there. Maybe that was a bit under, but still not a bad option. was just a bit more than I hoped, not too bad though.
