Title: XBOX Live server IP address (UK)
Post by: Hurray Banana on June 24, 2008, 06:34:31 am
We are having trouble connecting our XBOX360 at college to the live servers through our JANET (Joint academic network - connects all uni's and colleges in the UK) connection.

Does anyone know the IP address of the XBOX live servers in the UK?

We need to run some diagnostics on our network to find out why we can't connect, all we get is the MTU size error, we know we have perfectly adequate MTU on the college network so we are a little bit stuck.

Does anyone else connect over JANET?

Cheers in advance

Oh how I miss JANET. used to use a crappy halls 10mb to download mt roms in the fossil days. Cant help you with the IP of Live, but I can tell you that JANET does'nt like incoming connections from unspecified ports. Not sure now, but back in my time everything TCP that came through JANET was proxied through port 8080.

It's a bit strange because it was working from November through to Feb and when I dusted the XBOX off around April, no connection?
