I thought I would just point out that I bought 2 sheets of blue laminate for $15. I found it at the Habitat for Humanity store. It's actually part of a counter-top I plan on dissasembling. Y'all may want to try the same idea.

Interesting! You're in Houston right? Whereabouts is this store?

how big are the sheets? I bought a "sheet" for 13 bucks at home depot... unfortunately it's the smaller sheet suited for control panel covering and not for the sides of a cabinet.
*shrug* need more info (but sounds good otherwise!)

Actually I'm in south Texas. But Habitat for Humanity is everywhere. You may want to check local charity thrift stores (Habitat, children's homes, Salvation Army). They're the kind of places that would have that stuff. I may have just gotten lucky, though.
These are larger sheets. Each one is large enough to cover the side of a full-sized up right arcade machine. They're table-tops.

Well I picked up the formica table tops today and stripped the formica from the tops. Looks good! I'll try to get some picture up soon.
