I went to a local computer shop and they sold me a cable that has ALL 15 pins, so now I have a cable that I can use, but the R, G and B cables are wrapped with a braided cable, do I need to ground this cable? I can strip the braiding back and there is another wire wrapped in plastic inside.
Do I have to ground or do anything with the metal shielding around the RGB wires?

<blinks> Not all fifteen pins are used.

IT'S WORKING!!!
In case anyone else has this issue, here is what I found.
The braided mesh wire wrapped around the outside of the RGB wires is for RGB RETURN and is not needed, just strip it back far enough to give yourself room to work with the inside wire.
The MAIN braided wire was used in conjunction with pin #5 the ground.
