I don't remember if I already posted this, but I've searched and can't find anything. I plan to build an arcade cabinet to donate to a volunteer first aid squad I belong to. It will have an EMS theme. I plan to paint the sides with representations of our ambulances, a marquee with "Jackson First ArcAid," and blue and red flashing, lighted buttons and trackball. It will use a 19" LCD monitor, an old Athlon 3000 PC, and Nintendo Joysticks. I have a cab which I got for free from someone local, a home built one. Solid MDF construction. I think it should work.

I saw your post in buy/sell/trade and was about to PM you about selling my barebones cab. Good to hear you were able to pick one up for free.. got any mockups of the side art worked out yet?

This should look pretty damn cool!
How about getting some old ambulance lights to go on top of the cab, you could wire them up to go off every time that someone inserted a credit or you could have them on as part of the attract sequence 8)

Yes, it definitely needs a beacon of some sort.

How about a "Mother, Jugs and Speed" theme?
:dizzy: The kids have no idea what I'm talking about...

They have them on ebay for around $20 ea. You will just need a 24v transformer to run it!

This would look awesome on top of an arcade, or maybe under the control panel or something: http://www.med-worldwide.com/edgeultrafreedomlightbars1.html
and it's only $1,479! Maybe someone can fabricate something similar on the cheap with superbright LEDs instead of HID bulbs? Franco, I'm looking in your general direction ;)
