The type with multiple kinds of inputs would definitely be preferable. Anyone have any laying around?
-
I can fit up to a 29 inch monitor
but something that big would have to be local(illinois/wisconsin only)
-
Hi Doom bucket,
What's your budget? I have a 27" NEC monitor that has 2 VGA and 2 s-video inputs for PC and console gaming.
-
If it's working and local, I'd be very eager to take it off your hands ;D
Is it decased? I can't see a 27inch monitor fitting in my arcade cabinet unless it is... I'd have to wait till monday to take measurements if it's not decased.
-
It is not decased, so it may not fit as-is. I used it in my Alien3: The Gun cabinet and it fit well. But the cab is pretty large.
I'm in the NW subs of IL.
-
Cool
I'm in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, so on Monday I'll measure how much room I have. How much are you asking for?
-
I just measured my cab and it's 27 x 25, so I'm sure it'll fit.

I assume you have looked in your local Craigslist?
-
:badmood:
yeah I check it every few days but although there are plenty of monitors most of them are 22 inchs, etc.
I'm not looking for a big TV, I'm looking for something like a Megaview monitor with lots of inputs besides just VGA
it's hard to find those apparently, although I know they exist. I was ready to buy one from a BYOAC member but I didn't hear back from him after I sent him an offer
-
Yeah I have a Sony PVM-2530 but I'm in WA. If you wanna figure out shipping that would be ok with me.
-
hmm that sony pvm is interesting even though it does not have vga
I hadn't heard of that brand before and so when I saw that post I searched on craigslist. THere's one near me actually, but now I'm wondering what other kinds of monitors there are that I haven't been searching for. I was only really searching for NEC, Megaview, and Mitsubishi because I thought they were the only monitors that were made so large and with the features I was looking for.
-
It actually does take 15khz vga but in a db25 connector. If you need one I can make one for ya for $20.
-
Where are you in WA?
I'm north of Seattle.

I'm kinda by boeing field. Pm if your interested in a cable.
