Well, the BYOAC of all things home theater and electronicsy stuffs is AVSForum.  Specifically, here is the "Home Theater Builder" forum

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=19

I'm boykster there too (original eh?) and when I was building my HT, I spent a TON of time doing research in that sub-forum.  There's also a GREAT forum there on HTPC's...although, the noise to signal ratio has gone up considerably in the past couple of years....

Hey
that is kool there is many neat examples out there.. I am kinda after how to actually build the room, what type of room I need etc..how to lay it out.
My room now is half the basement with hardwood floors, I need to keep the floors to keep the wife happy so somehow intergrate it into the theme.. I was thinking of making a old school kind of theatre....no idea where to find samples or how too's.. i have no idea onwhat type of gear to buy and what size screen i can go...

thx
