Title: SOLD: T-stiks (US-AZ)
Post by: Ummon on June 17, 2008, 02:38:56 am
These are the predecessors to the Mag-stik. I have three: one used some, the second use a little, the third hardly used. Tons of life left in each. Will do $15 a piece, plus shipping. Paypal accepted.

Questions:

Do these sticks switch from 4-way to 8-way by twisting the shaft or are they some other way switchable from the top of the control panel?

Are there any Ball Top shafts that would work with them?

Yeah, you just pull the joystick up and twist it 90 degrees.

I'm not sure if the t-sticks came with a ball top option. I don't know if you would find a ball top replacement due to the uniqueness of the shaft with the thread on the bottom. Saying that I could potentially make some shafts that would fit the t-stick and I could put a M6 thread or whatever on the other end to fit a ball top. If you did go down that route you would probably want to use some Loctite to fix the ball on so it doesn't unscrew when you change modes. You could use some medium strength adhesive so you could remove the ball top if required.

@Frizzle: yeah, it's as Franco said - you pull and twist 90 degress. However, Andy does offer a ball-top mag-stik, and offers the handles (long and regular) here (http://www.ultimarc.com/JShopServer/section.php?xSec=6).

Ummon,

Go ahead and sell them to the next guy.  I was curious,  I currently have a J-Stick on my Multipede but it's a ---smurfette--- to switch from 4-way to 8-way.  I thought one of these may be a better solution but I have WAY too much on my plate to deal with that right now.

Sorry...
