I have a fully refurbished one I probably don't want anymore, but it wouldn't be cheap.  I would just wait for one on eBay and clean it up yourself.  I overpaid for mine; otherwise I would let it go for @ $20 :/

Thanks for the link, but the control I need is more like a spinner shape, with a pushbutton feature.

kspiff, i might be interested if ebay keeps coming up empty for me. 20 bucks is reasonable when you cant play your fave game (frontline).

Check with Bob Roberts it's in the clearance section under Rotary Controller.

Ugh.. just re-read that post and realized that it may have been misleading in its wording.. I meant that if I had *not* paid too much I would sell it for $20.. unfortunately, I *did* pay way too much ($40 or 50 with shipping, don't remember).  I realize now that you could get a FrontLine cabinet (albeit a really crappy one) at auction and strip the controller for around that.

Besides, I may make another MAME machine someday and would certainly rather use it myself (it *is* really cool looking.. red-topped version and mine doesn't have any major paint wear or dents in the top like the ones I usually see).  Gotta do something with all these soon-to-be-orphaned parts :P

Kspiff, Well that does'nt help steve much now does it.  ???Why would you tell steve that you have a perfect one that you probably don't want anymore, then rub it in about how mint it is and then tell him you're going to keep it ? Why even bother replying to the guy.   :P

That was me.
I have both of them, one with a metal knob, one with plastic. Once I integrate one into my CP. I'll be willing to let the other go.

Damn you KSpiff!

Punk,
Let me know please.. I'll keep looking but I'm coming up pretty damn empty.

I've actually started looking into making my own and have contacted some rotary switch manufactures.

Any chance you have some exploded pics or such?

There really is nothing "SPECIAL" about them, the only thing that requires anything other than a sheetmetal brake/shear is the cam. That requires a mill, or a grinder and LOTS of patience.

Steve, Awhile back I was begging for one and Birdtales was nice enough to give me one ! Its now on my cabinet and I love it. But guess what... I got another one from a local vendor a couple weeks ago but decided that I'm not going to use it on my next cabinet because its going to be a driving cab.  P.M. me with your shipping address and I'll send it to you.
Merry (early) Xmas. :)

PS its missing the knob but you should be able to find one that would work. Maybe Oscar could whip up an altered spinner knob that would fit it. If I find a knob in the meantime I'll send it with the controller.

Spidermonkey.

I never got your p.m. with your shipping address yet. If you sent me one then try sending it again.

Tom,
I replied to the email the PM generated, not sure exactly if that works though.

I just sent you a PM straight from the board, hope that works.

Thanks very much in advance,

Steve
