Hi
Just after some advice and not sure this is the right board. Normally read project announcements.
Anyway, I have an original Tapper, Bud version. Side art is virtually mint and the cab generally is good. Today I noticed swelling of the wood on both left and rhs. Both areas are off the floor due to the way the cab is, but I'm paranoid it's going to get muh worse.
Cab i s in garage, with occasional heat - aside from moving the cab, what's the best course of action?
Thanks

Where is the swelling coming from -- is the cab currently taking water from somewhere ?
Is the garage wet ?
If no to (1) and (2), then the water damage is likely old and I wouldn't expect it to get worse.
If it were me, I would pull back the t-molding and see if the particle board was damp to triple-check.
But that's me.

No to 1 and 2. I have never noticed it before, and well, it feels damp :/
I have other cas in there that are fine - could it be insects or something? i'm only more bothered as it's the one cab I have that I doubt I could replace the side art (if I rplaced the sides).
Many thanks

:-\
I have had cabs that I thought were fine, got home and then noticed that they were damp and swollen. Took a while before they dried out (and were, sadly, still swollen).
how long have you had this cab ?
-
I've had it about six months - ie over xmas.
The damp feel worries me because a: it's a garage and things in there (like eg a cardboard box) do NOT feel damp at all.
I didn't use the room much til last month (waitig for the weather) but I am sure I would've seen this :/
I will keep an eye on it :)
Thanks

Sorry -- no words of wisdom for you, other than to move the cab ... even if just across the garage.
