Title: I must be getting more sensitive to bad converstions
Post by: boogieman on June 16, 2008, 02:34:52 pm
I was at a restaurant about an hour away from home (no camera sorry).  I saw something shocking!  It was a MK3 in an older cabinet.  It had one of the metal CPs that had a bend in it, not sure what it was original but it was scary!  It looked something like this: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=6769 (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=6769) (it did have a horizontal monitor though)

I think the screen was 19" possible 17" if that's possible.  The whole thing was way narrow, buttons jammed in and such.  The marquee was not lit but looked pretty bad.  Wish I could have got a pic of it but ohh man was it bad.

A few months ago I wouldn't have thought twice about it!

I remember back when I managed an arcade, there was little thought as to what cabinet would best suit a conversion kit. Corp office would just say put it in the lowest money making cabinet.

*I* must be getting old ... it's rather hard for me to feel sorry for an MK3 in a generic dynamo cab ...
