Alright, here's the deal: the super-bright wedge-base cluster LEDs that are oh-so-popular to use in coin doors are are too small to fit inside of the lamp holders that my coin door has. My coin door is a coin controls model that came with big ol' incandescents, so the holders mean that installing the 4-cluster red LEDs I ordered will not be a simple swap, as many enthusiasts for the lamps have described. Bascially, what I feel like I need is a lamp holder like the one here:

But unfortunately, I can't for the life of me find anywhere that sells them. You'd think that something as simple as a wedge-based LED lamp holder with a rail slot would be easy to find, but from what I've experienced it's not. So, unless someone can point me to a vendor who sells these wedge-base lamp holders, I'm going to need to find a method to wire my LEDs to my power supply that has less finesse, and actually physically holding them in place may involve hot glue. If I can't get the right size lamp holders, is it safe to bend the wires on the LEDs and directly solder the wires to them? Is there another solution I should be looking at that I haven't considered yet?
