I'm trying to find a local dealer (in Houston) that sells 27" tri-res monitor but am only finding online dealers. I wanted to save $100 on shipping (plus get it faster) but am having no luck with local stores. I guess I have my choices narrowed down to Niemans (no local distributors), Billabs, or Betson. (Not for any particular reason other than reading a bunch of posts on which brands to go with.)
I'm looking to buy a new one from a reputable source..not one from craigs, etc.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Buy from Rick Neiman; he has good prices and will back up his product. That's where I will be getting my next monitor from. :)

Betson has an office in Texas:
Betson Texas Distributing

Dallas, TX 75247
214-638-4900
877-638-4900
214-638-4925 (Fax)
Check your local telephone directory under the heading of "Amusement Devices" for other companies.

Did you ask Rick specifically if there were any distributors in Texas? Also, what size monitor? - as Billabs is apparently making its way out of the CRT end of business.

Yea I talked to Rick...no distributors in TX. He gave me the names of two guys - one in FL who was out of stock and another guy in AZ that I hadn't been able to get a hold of until today..$440 plus probably $100 shipping (which is what I was trying to avoid).
I'll check out Betson in Dallas...thanks Ken. I'll also try and dig up the phone book...I searched some online but perhaps these types of businesses don't have as much of a web presence as others.

Let me know if you have any success with Dallas. I'm in Austin and I travel to Dallas frequently for business.
