Hello everyone. Before I get a chance to mess with the setup after work today, I thought I would toss this question out there to everyone. I noticed last night when I played my mame roms, that all the games I played had a bezel picture around the game during play. This limited the size of the game video display. I am thinking I downloaded the incorrect files somewhere, albeit flyers, marquees, snapshots, videos, artwork, etc... Not sure which one of these or multiple is the culperit. :dunno
Anyone know off the top of their head why the roms are playing like this? It's as though they have a bezel around the game. Thanks, Shane

If you're using Mame32UI, just hit TAB in-game, go to video options, and change the video mode. (I don't recall the exact setting, as I only use command line MAME .84 before the video option)

I typically use "Crop To Screen" as this fills up the screen while also keeping the aspect ratio right. Any part of the screen that is not filled by the game is filled with the artwork. This works great for vertical games on a horizontal monitor.

Sorry, more information needed. I am using Mala with the Mame Windows command line interface, version 0.123. When one changes configurations via the tab interface within mame, is this a per game basis and or can I make this change somewhere else to force all games as such?
Thanks, Shane

You could open up mame.ini and change artwork to 0, maybe that'll do it.
(Sorry, I'm at work, so I can't look and tell you exactly)

simon, read the mame32 faq. As well, go to Mr. Do's site.
