Looks like a bargain to me :) :applaud:
-
Boy did you ever!
-
Very chuffed with it.
I already have a cabinet but I couldn't possibly let this one slip.
I had been watching it to see how much it went for and today it still had 0 bids with only 3 hours left. I obviously threw a £150 bid on it and I won :).
The guy seems more then happy even though I have clearly stolen it :P
-
You've got 51 pounds left in the kitty, enough for a few pints. :applaud:
-
I'll spend £50 on pints and £1 in the fruit machine. But what if I win another £150 pounds :O
-
nice find....keep us updated with pics once you pick it up.
-
Apparently that was owned by a spoiled man-child with WAY too much money and zero attention span.
On the other hand, that is pretty damn classy of the guy to honor the ebay auction price.

ebay UK's been becoming a right tight sod recently, so running the risk of getting booted aint worth it. Still, wish they'd boot people like this schmuck when they get the bad reports like they should. I've reported him a million times for bundling roms with these half-arsed conversions he's been doing.....

I will certainly report any more I see from him, as it makes bargains like the one ninja-chicken won less likely to find if people are blatantly marketing machines with roms.

Looks like the OP's auction was removed or something. I can't see it.

Even in this one he included MAME... which is against the EULA to do so. Not to mention whoevers FE he loaded up on it.

Hmmm I might know who this guy is.
Besides who cares if he sell the odd cabinet, just send him a Friendly email telling him of his error and I'm sure he will oblidge. IF we started pointing fingers we all be seeing fingers. :D
-
Yea I saw a cabinet the same as this one go for £500 the other day because someone bundled their stolen rom collection with it. Also I think I got this so cheap because not everyone just happens to live near basingstoke and he was offering personal collection only.
I'm very happy :)

Reading around this site and past posts, I now know too.

I think you got yourself a great deal!

1 problem though fellas. It's big. Realllly big. So big that there is a chance im going to have to take it to pieces and re-assemble it indoors :P
I really hope it doesn't come to this, and if it does, it must be screwed together, if not then I guess it's getting stuck in the shed until I come up with a plan.

Well I knew what I was getting into when I bought it. He lists the dimensions and I think they are all slightly bigger then my Killer Instict cabinet, which itself is huge. I just managed to fit that into my apartment, however I used the lift to get it up the stairs.
This cabinet is going in a house, so somehow I have to get it up a tiny stair case (which bends 90 degrees) and into a spare bedroom.
Any suggestions from anyone who doesn't want me to cut it into chunks and glue it back together :P
-
Unbolt the control panel and take out the monitor. That will save you about 8" and 80 lbs.

Brilliant. I'll take photos first so I know how to put it back together :)
If I take off the control panel surely the entire from bit won't come off so I won't save any inches will I?

You're right. It's a fixed-sides cabinet like most generics so you will struggle. Looks like Superman will have to deliver it straight through your bedroom window! :laugh2:

It could happen...

Case in point regarding large cabs and small UK houses.
-
I keep forgetting you folks have houses built for elves. And wonder why so many over there keep building large cabs. SMO-KIN DEAL, though.
-
I went to go pick it up and it's been done really really well. He replaced the board which controls the monitor, he has all the manuals etc, the PC is connecting to a button at the front which even has the little power LED. It even has some USB ports wired up to the control panel so you dont have to open it up to stick a mouse in. It all looks really great however...
Didn't manage to fit it in the van we took to pick it up in :P
I am going back on sunday with a flatbed truck, that should do the trick :)
Then we're going to try and squeeze it through the back door of my house. The final plan either to move the monitor etc into a smaller shell and sell it on, or keep it forever and ever.
