Title: Could I damage my arcade monitor if I turn it before Soft15Khz starts?
Post by: amiga500 on June 08, 2008, 06:31:22 pm
I have this doubt now that I was able to connect the computer to the arcade monitor.
I want to know if there's some chance to damage the monitor if it displays for about 15 sec no image (a grey screen) while windows loads. I can turn it up later, but right now I start everything with a single button and that's very comfortable.

TIA

Just wait to hear sounds - music, whatever - from your FE loading or Windows if you have it set down an appropriate resolution, and then turn it on. You can also check out the PCI video card trick. Check the soft15 thread for it.

Thanks for reply. I'll search that trick that you said.

If you haven't looked in the wiki yet, that's where I found it. Also, I started a thread on this.
