Title: Mini-PAC and caps/scroll/num lock LEDs
Post by: vizzinni on June 07, 2008, 07:07:18 pm
I posted this question on the Mameworld Ultimarc board eariler today but haven't had a response, so I thought I'd try it here...

Does the Mini-PAC have the same ability to control the caps/scroll/num lock LEDs that the I-PAC has? If so, which pins on the 10-pin header are used? The wiring diagram only shows the pins for +5v and ground.

I have an ipac4, but my understanding is that the minipac has it too. 3 of the inputs double as LED outputs. However, you may not want to use them for both input and output at the same time, because if you do, pushing the button will cause the LED to turn on.

The Mini-PAC does support the LEDs.
The pinout is the same as the I-PAC header which is on http://www.ultimarc.com/ipac2.html (http://www.ultimarc.com/ipac2.html)

Thanks Andy.  I asked because the Mini-PAC header isn't exactly the same as the I-PAC's, and the wiring diagram/pinout on the Mini-PAC page doesn't reflect the caps/num/scroll.  But I now can see the correct pins, so thanks.
