how well does virtual-on mame? can you network 2 cabs together to play head to head? I always loved this game and thought I'd ask.

Mame doesn't have link emulation, yet (I think.)  The Dreamcast version provides linked VS mode, though, and also works 100%.

I dont think you can do link mode through emulation. Cheaper to get two DCs than it is to get two MAME pcs though.  Not to mention its easier to get a DC Virtual On stick than to build one for PC.

funny thing.... I have like 3 DCs, I was really jst wondering hww virtual-on mames, I know about the DC sticks and have been on the look out for them for a while but no luck  :dunno

I've seen a couple of the Virtual on sticks go by on ebay... They're like 75 a pop usually from what i've seen.

The website http://www.toysnjoys.com (http://www.toysnjoys.com) has them listed... but I would call them before ordering.  I ordered a joystick from them a while ago and had no problems, but a friend recently tried to order a joystick and they basically never shipped his stick after a few months and are taking forever to give him a refund.
