Title: Does my artwork need more work?

I am not an graphic artist but my job allows me to fiddle with illustrator.
So after downloading some vectors and buying a few for 2 or 3 bucks i ended up with this.

However i am not sure if it needs more work.
For instance i am wondering how it would look if the gradients on the letters and joy arrows would look more "plastic like" but i have no clue how to do this. Photoshop is much easier.

Please advice. After that it will be sent to mamemarquees.

Looks great! I really like the name arcade phreax.

I have a friend that goes by race freex for his motocross business. Reminded me of him.

I love the CP and sideart very retro. There is something about the marquee that just doesn't seem to work for me. Its just to similar to the the CP. I think it might be to much when viewed straight on. Just my £0.02

Good idea! I will see if i can make something diffrent of the Marquee.
Need some inspiration  ;)

Ok had a small idea. How about this for a marquee then?
Should i do green instead of silver grey?

I'm not a fan of the crooked "phreax" across the word "arcade".

Not sure what would look best, though.

Would you suggest "phreax" should be horizontal? Diffrent font?
First marquee or second marquee?

I think it looks great, Twin-X!  I vote for the green.  It looks more unique and visually interesting than the simple silver.  I think it looks good tilted like that, too.  I also like the side-art - reminds me of some of the old Taito cabinets, though maybe it's the choice of color more than anything else.
