Title: New cabinet planned - need dimensions help
Post by: Carsten "Carlos" on March 13, 2002, 12:49:57 pm
Well, got the plans for my cabinet mostly finished -well sort of, just need to add some roundings for the sides.

Could someone have a look at the following link to the .pdf-document if I made some big mistakes? I want the controlpanel so high to get it more comfortable. What I find emberassing, when I stand before the cabinet (have a look at the upper eye-icon on the right) I'm nearly under the marquee. Is it normal, or did I something wrong? Most important is the "sitting on a bar-stool"-comfort, but I wanna be able to have fun enough with standing in front of it.
For most of you seem to measure in inches, I added the heights in inch on the right, in darkblue-colored text.

Any help greatly appropiated!

My best regards,

Hehe, remember what the J in JAMMA stand for, they are short people:)

Yeah, looks good.  my Double Dragon cab is 74" tall.  The control panel is about at that height too.

Glad to here that I'm not the only one preferring a high CP!  :D Thanx!

Is it really normal that your eyes are short beneath the marquee? (I'm about 185cm/72,8" tall.

Is there something like a typical marquee-size (speaking of the marquee-artwork-glass)? For now I'm dealing with something between 18-20 cm / 7", and just wonder if commercial marquees are mostly all the same size?

By the way, forgot to mention in the first posting, the pdf-file is <30 KB! http://www.mittelalterlicher-markt.de/arcade/images/Seite.pdf
