Title: How do I get rid of this yellow number? (ArcadeVGA)
Post by: XYXZYZ on June 03, 2008, 03:08:57 pm
I have an ArcadeVGA2 AGP, and a vertical arcade monitor. Whenever I run an emulator that switches the resolution, there's a yellow 2 digit number in the top left corner, usually displaying between 50-60. I imagine it's displaying the framerate.

Is this some function of ATI tools? Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or how to get rid of it?

Sounds like the vertical refresh rate.  What kind of monitor are you using?  I'm fairly certain it's not the AVGA2 as I have that same card and have never seen this.

Some software like Fraps does this. If you have Fraps running you can turn it off.

It could be a function in the ATI tools or some digital display of the monitor. My old CRT used to display the refresh rate when changing resolution.

Is it just MAME?  If so F11 turns the framerate on and off...  If it is all d3d games/apps it could be in the video card or directx settings.
