I have a few cheap trackballs for sale if anyone is interested. They are the USB trackballs that were going for $4 on http://www.softwareandstuff.com/index.html
I have 2 of them available, 1 is brand new never opened, and the other is basically brand new. I purchased them with the intention of mounting them to my CP, but afterwords decided that I would never use it, and just use my regular mouse for navigation. These could be used for basic navigation and centipede, etc.
If anyone wants the new one for $3 and the used for $2 + shipping, let me know.

:( , I made a post looking for these just a week or so ago :(

They're still available at the above site, they'll just be a little more expensive ($3.95 + $6.00 shipping).

Also, I thought you were looking for the I-balls (like I was also). These are on E-bay for $4.90 to $10 plus $6.95 shipping, but only onesy-twosy sellers.
The trackballs CGRemakes is offering are probably not as good as the I-ball, but are slightly less expensive.

I'm using one of these $3.99 trackballs, and will hack the spare I picked up for my coctail in a week or so when I start on the CP's.
even though its transluscent, it does NOT light up....however, for $4.00 it works pretty well for a cheap USB trackball. all the trackball games work fine with it.......
I'm trying to think of a clever way to mount it....so far...no good ideas ;) But they'll come...

If I were mounting it, I would:
- Remove the top cover
- Cut a 2.5" hole in the CP for the ball
- Cut a 1.25" to 1.5" hole in the plexi
- Figure out how far below the CP the trackball needs to hang to just stick through the hole in the plexi without touching it
- Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy nylon spacers this size
- Drill holes for the bolts in the CP (but not the plexi), countersunk to keep the bolt heads below plexi level
- Drill matching holes in the plastic base
- Run the bolts through the CP, through the spacers, and through the plastic base
- Fasten nuts and lockwashers to the bottom of the bolts
This is how I've mounted the two different PC trackballs that I've used, and it works fine. For best results, though, you may need to bevel the inside of the plexi to match the curve of the ball...
Oh, and this particular trackball doesn't use bearings. Although that is, in most cases, a Bad Thing, the positive side effect is that you can replace the ball with an arcade 2-14" ball or a pool ball. You'll need longer nylon spacers, though...
