I am wanting to make a cpo with this image. Does anyone know how I can vectorize this? I tried vectormagic but it didn't look right no matter what settings I used.
I plan on making a cpo 34"x13.5" and want it to look good at this size.
I have some image editing experience in paint shop pro 7 and some very limited in gimp. I tired searching but couldn't really find anything that seemed relevant.
Thanks!

I don't know if this could be modified: http://www.localarcade.com/arcade_art/details.php?image_id=289 (http://www.localarcade.com/arcade_art/details.php?image_id=289)
It is a .ai file which looks like adobe illustrator, which I don't have...
EDIT: I did some looking, I tried opening up the .ai in gimp. It will sort of open it but cuts most of the image off. Can someone open this and save it as a large image for me, It could be a high quality jpeg or png file and I can mess with it from there. I just wish image formats could be somewhat universal lol.

not sure if this helps you.. i dropped it into adobe illustrator and blew it up 500% made it into a pdf so you should be able to edit / open it with other software... link here. http://www.sendspace.com/file/xj8g9v You should be able to edit this etc..

Thanks guys,
I downloaded inkscape and opened that file. I was able to figure out how to delete the excess stuff down to what I can use. I didn't make it, but modified the one from the above link. Looks pretty good. Man I cant believe the amount of objects in that file! It took forever to delete the extra pieces/objects (err... whatever the term is for them) and move/delete a few nodes! I couldn't even imagine tracing or vectorizing something of that magnitude! It took 2 hours to do what little I did!

Well......... Give us a look at what you have ;D

This is a .png file, but I have it as a vector file in inkscape.
Inkscape seems really easy to work with (so far), but I did go to school for drafting so nodes and such are not really a new concept.
Anyways, here it is:
EDIT : Looks like the curved section on the top edge needs a bit of work, I will have to work on that in the morning, I need some sleep lol :dizzy:
Added .png image
Edit: Added a little something I made, it is a piece to go around the player 1 and 2 buttons. This will mount on a seperate place under my monitor, but should looks really cool! I saved the vertical .ai file as a .png and messed with the .png some in gimp. I think it should work great!

Looks great! Can't wait to see the final result (pictures of your cab).
