i got this monster of a 21 inch computer monitor, and im worried. anyone have the dimentions of your standard centipede cab?
-
I used a dig-dug cab (same cab used for cenitpede, kangaroo and arabian knights). The inside dimension is something like 23 1/2 in. Your monitor should fit.
-
yeah, i got some official measurements from him, thanks though

Sometimes it isn't the front diagonal measurement that's gonna get you... It's the depth of the monitor that can bite you in that situation.
I put a de-cased 21" pc monitor in a taito cabinet and had to cut a small access whole for the arse end to hang out an inch or two. The width worked out pretty well, it's just too long/deep (mileage may vary depending on angle of mounting... i.e. 90 degrees or 45 or lower degrees. )
*shrug*
good luck!

If it don't fit... make it fit =P

Hee hee. I just shoehorned a monstrous KDS Pixeltouch 21 into a freaking Mini cabinet. The butt of the monitor sticks out nearly six inches in back. But I got in in there.
Last time I looked inside a Pede cab I seem to recall maybe 3 inches of extra clearance past what the normal monitor used. So you may have to take off the back door or cut a hole in it.

no qualms about cutting a hole, lol

I'm MAMEing a Centipede original cab, and I gotta say I'm having the HARDEST time finding a TV to fit in there. I can make a 20" TV fit, but there aren't any 24"/25" TVs that will fit, because this cabinet is pretty narrow. you have exactly 23 3/4" internal width to play with. (23.75")
The APEX GT4215 will fit (23.1" wide) btu i hear terrible things about this TV, even though it has S-Video.
