theres space to easily fit four consoles on my shelf. at the moment i have an N64 and a megadrive. saw a master system II at cash converters today. i dont normally buy anything from them because i dont like pawnbrokers. but i somehow doubt that a SMS would be the proceeds of a burglary (",)
its $50 in the box. has alex the kid in miracle world built in, which people tell me is the reason to get it. ill check the papers today for local private stuff. didnt have much luck last time when i looked in the paper for N64 gear (although i did wind up getting a new job out of the exercise!)
yeah, yeah. i know you mercans have 10 SMS in your cupboard that you would GIVE away. but looking at ebay australia $50 seems quite reasonable. especially for cashies who put ludicrous prices on stuff. anyway, ive learnt not to leap in. ill monitor prices until next saturday. if the SMS is still there at cashies, its mine!

There are some better deals on ebay(.com.au), mister. In light of this, talk the cashies salesperson down to 40 at least.

I've never heard of one with Alex Kidd built-in. That's a great game. Mine has Hang-on and Safari Hunt in it (plus the snail maze easter egg).

Wow, I didn't know Hang-on and Safari Hunt were built in. My SMS is so freaking old, all I have is the snail maze.

Yeah, my first one had only the snail maze, but a later revision included the two pack-in titles.

The master system II had alex kidd built in. Spent many hours playing that game. Loved the paper rock scissors for beating a boss.
danny, have you looked for the master system adapter for the megadrive? then you'd have room for a 5 consoles! :applaud:

Soooooo long ago and it had some of the coolest (and best functioning) 3D glasses.
I ended up giving mine away to some family friends when my family was moving across country.
The box wouldn't have taken up THAT much space. In hindsight I would have been willing to give it the dog's seat.

yes, i had. but i would really like alex the kid. heres an auction for the cart (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220236919191&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=012) only :o granted ive seen them go somewhat cheaper. but id have to fiddle with the adapter, i can imagine that it will be 'blow n go' central...
besides, with the built in game at least that will always work (",)
oh, and nickg i might try and talk down cashies. but im crap at haggling. i once bought a car that was advertised for $1050. didnt even think to knock off the 50 bucks! $50 is fine though. all the ones i watched on ebay so far have gone over 50 if you include the freight...

well, i picked it up today. but i didnt notice that the rf unit has an 's' video out (?). went to game traders to see what they had. they happened to have the same machine hooked up and playing. thye didnt have an rf thingo but they said to just use a 2 buck antenna lead. just come home to try the lead and it doesnt even come close to fitting. i think maybe the rf out on the unit is stuffed.
silly me, i should have asked how much the master system was at game traders while i was there. if it was much the same price i could have grabbed that and just returned the one i have to the pawn shop. let them figure it out...
ha. just called them. its $39.95. ill take this one back now and collect the other tomorrow.
