Post by: mrclean on May 31, 2008, 12:11:23 am
Not really sure what the deal is, but i unplugged all of my stuff because i wanted to replace my cpo, in doing so i left everything unplugged for about 4 days i don't know if thats related, but only buttons that seem to work in "notepad" are "6 (coin button 2), k (right player button), ?" any ideas? 1, 2 (player one start / player 2 start don't work along with about 15 other buttons? any ideas?

Same thing happened to me.

Then I realized that when I plugged the wiring harness back in, I didn't have it aligned correctly so it threw everything off and only a few buttons were working.  It was pretty easy to plug the thing in wrong so I would check that again.

really weird.. i tried hooking it up to another computer and my buttons are all off some arent' working how to i code them ? pic attached my 2 coin button is now "r" etc... some work some dont i need to reconfigure them .. I don't think it has anything to do with the wires because if all the buttons didnt work then i would think thats what it is .. they are all wrong in terms of what buttons the represent on the keyboard, how do i correct this ? Green light is on the mini-pac  :hissy:

The prior unused wires from my ide cable were the buttons I needed which is really odd? any ways 95% of its working with the exception of 2 player buttons on player 2 side, and my "enter" button which i rarely use when configuring in game stuff.. eventually i'll fix it, but this was really time consuming.. my cpo looks great though !

check the grounds on each of the problem buttons and see if they are attached to a working button.

after that press tab on your keyboard after opening a any game.

go to your general input setting options and scroll down to your start buttons click on one and then press your button and it should assighn it whatever that button on the mini-pac is assighned to.

if it does nothing at all then it would be your ground or lead wire to that button is not connected right.
