Title: Best NES emulator for arcade cab??
Post by: arcadecab on June 02, 2003, 11:05:32 am
I am currently using Nesticle.  Are there any better emulators out there for NES??  How about for an arcade cab?
I am currently have a couple problems with Nesticle--
1)  I cant save the remapping of buttons to those that I want to use.
2)  I cant get the snapshot function to work properly--simply says cant save.
3)  Have to exit using the file menu--no one button exit key.
Thanks.

I tested a bunch of them and the one I ended up using
was VirtuaNes, I use it with a command line wrapper
in my custom front end. It has a GUI but I don't use it,
I don't believe it supports screenshots though. I run it on a P3- 850 the emulation speed is smooth and the sound is good.

I use Virtual Nes also. It's very configurable.

Can anyone figure out its crazy snap shot naming methodology? I am trying to set it up for the rename function in Mamewah.
