Title: IPAC question (maybe wrong forum)
Post by: steve_pss on June 02, 2003, 10:32:38 am
Sorry if this should be in the Software forum but here goes, how do you guys get around the type OK to continue disclaimer that some games display when using IPAC?

Also, is there a work around to set a shift command to coin 2 player as well?

Is there a way to set global options to skip the type OK disclaimer in Mame32 gui?

Sorry for all the Noobness. I'll be posting pics of my cab soon as my buddy brings over his dig cam. Not as pretty as some on here, but it came out pretty damn cool for a 1st project (if I say so myself). Thanks for all the help so far, this is awesome. Sleep? NO SLEEP!

I found that in MAME32 (for windows) that you could disable the OK feature under game properties, I think...
The MAME FAQ says that you only need to press left and right on your joystick a few times to temp. bypass this.

You can do it in the WinIPAC programming software.  You just want to assign shift+Some key=6, correct?

You can in command line (WIN) MAME.  Dunno about MAME32 (probably)

Ya, you can do it in MAME32 as well.
Options->Interface Options-> check "skip disclaimer" and "skip game info"

If you are using another front end (ie Emulaxian) you must do it through mame32.ini, which is created by running mame32.exe -cc
