Title: Monitor "Squiggle"
Post by: davido on May 29, 2008, 09:31:35 pm
First time on site, not sure if this is how to post a question. Sorry. I have a "std." arcade monitor. I have noticed a small (1" or so) section along the top and bottom of the monitor that have an s-shaped squiggle. The rest of the screen is ok. I've checked the voltage at the power supply, which was 5.3 V and -4.9 V. I've switched the motherboard with other jamma ready games and no change. Would this be a monitor chassis issue? Thanks, David

Sounds like a small sync issue.  Might want to try adjusting your horizontal or vertical hold, see if that helps.

You should also post the monitor make and model.  Did you see the post that is in all caps?

ground the monitor chassis and make sure your power supply is properly grounded.  Then try a cap kit
