Title: Replacing Electrolytic Caps
Post by: Neverending Project on May 29, 2008, 11:23:57 am
Can I substitute a higher-voltage cap of the same capactiy? In other words, will there be any adverse effect to replace a 160V 12,000µF electrolytic cap with a 250V 12,000µF cap?

Greater voltage caps are larger and more expensive, but that's about it.

Ah yes, but sometimes they're all that are readily available.

Thanks.
