Title: Restoring plexi glass, removing scrathes, is it possible???
Post by: Doctor Ugs on May 28, 2008, 07:46:54 am
Question.
I have some plexi glass already in garage, but it has tiny scratch marks all over it when you put it to sunlight.

Is there any way to restore plexi, anyone ever tried? Or must I buy some new plexi?

Do they sell something similar in most hardware stores?
If so, what is it called? (not the brand name)

sometimes you can find Novus 1 in a hardware store but that's just the polish and you really need the other two to get out scratches
I've gotten it a glass stores that carry plexi and plastics companies

Note: If you're using Novus by hand, it takes a whooooole lot of elbow grease and multiple applications to get semi deep scratches out (like if you can feel it with your nail).
