Title: About how long does it take to re cap a Wells Gardner Monitor?
Post by: shredso on May 24, 2008, 10:31:09 am
I'm sure this will greatly differ depending on soldering skills, but I'm looking for a rough guess.  I have a couple hours tonight and I don't want to start it and not get it done.  I've watched a few videos and read a bunch of tutorials, so I have a good idea of whats going on.  I'm decent with the solder iron, but not much experience de-soldering.  Thanks.

Ed.

I suppose it would depend even more on *which* WG monitor of the 20 or so you were going to recap.  K7000 could be done pretty quick, while a K4600 might take a while.

I think the exact model is 4906.  The job took me a little over an hour.  I can't believe how much better the monitor looks.  Now to finish the cab.....
