Title: Random Mala - (Windows Application Error)
Post by: slsimon on May 23, 2008, 02:01:17 pm
I have been receiving the following error message sporadically when using Mala.  I can't find and or pinpoint where this error may be coming from.  I can leave mala background at the gamelist selection and come back minutes later with the error and or I could be scrolling through the gamelist and receive the error as well.

Any suggestions?

Maybe try a different XVid codec?

Hey guys.  Wondering if you could provide some more  expertise.

I removed the latest Xvid codec suggested above and also found a codec cleaner and ran it.  I then installed the Klite codec pack and that seemed to have fixed the random error message displayed above.  The only issue I have with the Klite codec is that after so many minutes, I have my screensaver set to kick on.  Cool, that works.  I can press any button, joystick and back to the mala gamelist.  Cool that works...  But every time I do jump back to the gamelist I have to use my assigned left click (mouse) button to activate the mala layout (gamelist) before I can start scrolling through the list of emulators/games.  Any suggestions as to why the layout is becoming the inactive window?  It's really not that big of a deal, just really annoying.

The Klite codec seems to work fairly well with the emumovies videos and Mala by the way.

Thanks for any heads up.  Thanks, Shane

Hey you might want to try this new Plug-in by TheShanMan.

MaLa Focus Logger

Please let us know if it works for you as it may be a clue to getting the fix built into MaLa.  ;)
