Has any1 had any dealings with them? I would like to talk to them about a custom panel but have had no luck at all. Maybe this is a heads up to stick with mameroom :dunno

Hmmm,
The silence speaks volumes thanx people. I'll stick with Mameroom

(EDIT: This was originally in Arcade Misc)
You can't go by the fact that no one replied within 5 hours of your post. Look at the times and dates of the other posts....this is one of the slower boards that people don't check as often.
If anyone had a bad word to say about the place, they wouldn't hold their tongue. Give it a bit more time...

ok,
we'll see

You may get more response in Main.

Well I currently have an order in with them right now. So I havent received my finished product and hence cant really provide too much feedback other than from the communications we've had and that their panels look killer on their e-bay options. From what I can tell they are fair on price (although it seems as if I should have waited to place my order as they just dropped their price on the base panel) and during the discussions we had on options/pricing, it appeared as if they was willing to do several upgrades at cost. Now I didnt check Ultimarc or Happ pricing to verify if its true but you cant really beat that if it is.
If I had one gripe at this point it would be response time to my e-mails/questions. Also, I think my panel will be taking a little longer to get to me than originally anticipated (based on our communications) but honestly if it turns out good I'm OK with that - I'm just really itching to get my hands on it, the rest of my cab is pretty much done so this is the last piece and its killing me (but I'm not a patient man either).
Hope this helps

I also have an order placed with them. Jack has responded to all my e-mails within 24 hours, confirming my custom layout design changes and button/stick placement, etc.
They are backed up with orders ATM from what he has told me, so have patience :)
-
Yea I got the impression they are backed-up on orders but I wish I got responses back within 24 hours. I just REALLY want to get my hands on it and the way things are looking I wont have it until the end of June. That will be almost 8.5 weeks from my billing date.
Like I said I'm an inherently impatient man, so this is probably all self-induced anxiety. I'm sure once I get it I will be singing their praises.

What I need is a blank panel to put on my showcase cab. Only beef I really have with Mameroom is that cam system. It makes for a kinda flimsy panel. Scott is a really great guy and extremly helpful. I will call today and inquire if the panel on his showcase cab is built this way aswell. I just sent another email to Jack so I will see what he says then go from there. thanx people

Agree with the sentiment here. I got my panel from Arcades R Fun and it is fantastic. I have a feeling Jack is backed up with orders because his reputation for quality work is getting around.
I don't think you can go wrong ordering from him.
I just saw you posted that you're looking for a blank panel, though, and I don't think he does those anymore.
The panel I have, incidentally, does not use cams; there are hinges to open the lid up, however.

Can you post some pics of your panel? I would be very much interested to see how it looks.

*UPDATE*
I talked to Jack today via phone. Yes he still does blank panels :) I do like the idea of a hinged top as this is going on a JAMMA cab. I'll be placing my order sometime this weekend  thanx all. :applaud:

Jack just shipped my custom blank panel the other day (took him right at a month). I'll be sure to post pics when I get it - I hear the quality is great and he's such a good guy to work with. The others are correct, he is very backed up right now. He has been responsive to my questions and answered emails within 24 hours (usually much less) after receiving them. Keep in mind he has a day job (like many other vendors here).
Also, I do know that he was having a hard time with emails sent to his @arcadesrfun.com address; there were a couple I sent that never made it to him; try his hotmail account for better results. I'm glad you got in touch with him.

I think I only have one . . . yes, I found it, here it is.
Looks better all lit up. :)

So it looks like you purchased the LEDWIZ? I really wanted that but MAN is it expensive. I really didnt feel like dropping that much jack on a control panel so I didnt go that route. I like that only active buttons light up - cool feature. Alas, me and my family/friends will just have to know which ones are working. Are those just the standard 8-way comps with the dedicated 4-way?
Otherwise, nice, clean panel.
Congrats - at least you can start playing now - I'm still waiting of course.
