I got the machine a while ago and it didn't come with a manual. I checked most of the startup prompts, but couldn't find a place to change the high scores, cheat codes, difficulty or how to change it from 50 cents a game to 25 cents or to select free play. Anyone know how to change these settings or a place where I can lookup this info online?

If this is a dedicated MK3, use the row of switches on the coin door to enter
test mode and use the joystick to move up and down in the menu and the buttons to select.
If there are no test mode buttons, set DIP switch #8 on the game board and it
will put you into test.
When finished, turn DIP switch #8 back off.
Also, if you adjust the settings and they dont stay after turning the game off and back on, your battery on the board could be bad (game will say CMOS SETTINGS or something similar on bootup if the battery is bad)

Ok I know how to get into the test menu, but I wasn't able to find any of the settings I need. I did look at the link that had the manual (thanks!!) and found what I think I need, but since the manual seemed to be a MK3 "KIT" and not a dedicated manual I wasn't sure if it applies. Mine is an original dedicated MK III cab so would these settings still apply?

I just made a video that should answer your questions. Hope it helps...

I like the fact that you told him to put the key in the lock to open the door. Nice touch.
BTW: Nice burn. I thought I had gotten some good ones with my soldering iron, but that looks rather painful...

I can't assume anything about anyone...

Sweet thanks for the video. When I read the diagram I thought I had to change the dip switches on the motherboard to make the required changes. Being able to change it via the test menu makes it a lot easier! Now to get a bigger place so I can have a dedicated game room for all my cabs!!

IIRC, it can be changed either way. I used the menus on MKII for the simplicity. Not sure why someone would use the dips specifically.
Glad you got it figured out.

you either set the dips or the CMOS, not both, there is a dipswitch setting to choose between the two. Kit or dedicated, doesnt matter, same MK3 PCB
