Title: Identifying a Nanao MS9-29S component
Post by: UFighterX on May 18, 2008, 12:23:23 pm
Does anyone know what this is so I can order a replacement? From what i've gathered it's either a thermistor or varistor but I have no idea how to find the specs. The circuit board says "NTH901" under it, while the actual component says "0S, 050, 4N" (Each comma represents a line change, I think they're zeros). I tried looking on DigiKey and Google but can't find any info.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

it's not a capacitor?

Looks like the PTC thermistor component that controls the degauss coil.

These two components are used in the degauss circuit:

MCM Electronics # 33-650 Globar Thermistor

MCM Electronics # 32-7120 Thermistor posistor

Here is a copy of that area of the circuits schematic. Hope it helps.

Good luck

Replaced the parts that Ken Layton mentioned and everything is working great.

I think i'm finally done with this monitor. The colors were awful when I got it. Replaced the caps, then had to replace the parts mentioned. Just got finished tuning the colors and geometry. I'm finally happy with it.

Thanks again for the help.
