I've done quite alot and am still going
I've Done:
Black and Ivory Leather Seats
17" XR8 Wheels
Lowered
Tinted
Dual Exhausts with a sports muffler
False floor in the boot for the Audio system
CarPC (built and installed a pc with a 7" flipout XGA touchscreen in the dash)
Replaced every bulb with a LED except the tail lights or headlights parker lights have a 18 led board inside it
Beefed up ATX Box (installed a torque converter, external oil filter and cooler new bands and a shift kit)
Powdercoated the Engine in a sniny Silver
I've got lots of other mods the main one im doing is supercharging the car have all the parts just have to create a mounting bracket and transfer shaft :)
It's also an electronic clutch SC aswell so i can use the car normally and turn the supercharger on with a flick of a switch if i want more power i created the car to be more a cruiser hence why i didnt bother swapping the ATX for a MTX plus it will go nuts on Autox :D

Thats why i did it more so cause i thought the white was just too bland plus its the stock stripes :)
And my steering wheel is on the right side thats right of course lol
I also get to play some mame in the car too i have a lcd in the boot aswell with some wireless controllers for a ps2 sadly my ps2 cracked it recently :(

At least the stripes are in the middle.
It's better than the European cars made for America (Right side steering wheel) that have a racing stripe positioned for the passenger.

Sadly yes. they see the European racing counterpart for the car with it on the right and assume that's where it goes. I don't understand why some people put a racing stripe on newer cars where you can't see the hood while you’re driving, but it’s still better than having it on the passenger’s side.

I never said I was done...
That's just the start. Long term plans include new header / exhaust setup and a turbo install for the engine, rear sway bar / coilovers for the suspension...

As far as i know the standard euro racing stripes are very different they aren't ment to be in the middle of the car as the stripes aren't the same side its a big stripe and like a 1" gap then a smaller stripe they are designed for going over the car on the sides instead of the middle
of course most people who do these stripes usually use standard same sized stripes cause they are more common and easier to get

There really is no "euro" racing stripe tradition. European cars have traditionally raced in their national racing colors: Green for the UK, white/silver for the Germans, red for the Italians and blue for the French etc etc. If there are European cars sold with odd stripes on them, then it must have been the US marketing branch that had those stripes put there.
:edit: Tried to find examples of European cars with stripes, but I can really only find American cars and Mini's. The Mini (Cooper) tends to have stripes on the hood only (on the sides of the hood)
The only examples of off-center stripes I found were put there by Americans. It's on Miata's (Japanese car), on 1950's Henry J's (http://home.comcast.net/~ljfid/edgar_kaiser.htm) and indeed an American puts off center racing stripes on his brand new mini (http://www.gotmini.com/yellow.htm)
Here is the National Racing Colors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_international_auto_racing_colors) for reference. Indeed it shows the US as "White, Blue lengthwise stripes" or "Blue, White lengthwise stripes". Besides the US, Only Canada (Red with white stripes) has full lenght stripes and Greece (Blue with white stripes) has the bonnet stripes like the Mini has.

There were a few. For example the old Lotus F1 cars from the 50s and 60s used to be painted British Racing Green with a yellow stripe down the bonnet. They looked pretty damn cool. It's a real shame that the F1 teams started plastering their cars with garish advertising logos in the 70s.
A lot of the Lotus derived cars you see on the roads in the UK (mainly Elises and Caterham Sevens) are also painted in the same green/yellow colour scheme.

Ah OK. That is pretty bizarre. I don't think I've ever seen a single off-centre stripe on any car, anywhere. Definitely not a "euro" thing.

When I got my car I wanted to try a ProTech coating that should make the paint really smooth so the dirt can be washed away with plain water. It was supposed to last for 5 years or so. It would also protect the paint from scratches. My car is black so dirt and scratches show rather easily.
In the end I was hesitating because it was seriously expensive (650 euro), the place near me who does it was overbooked and then my car was too old for it (after 3 months they claim it doesn't work as well anymore).
Anyone actually try that on their car?

I've only ever seen a euro car have that type of stripe i might of been the type of stripe that specifc car maker does for that model maybe but i just call them euro racing stripes cause i've only ever seen them on a eruopean car

Started life as a hardtop coupe that I bought for $50..
Shaved the door handles and locks, added the shelby R-model nose/hood/trunk. BUILT late model 302 V-8 with a 5 speed manual. Custom interior, etc.

I am waiting for the new kraftwerks supercharger kit to be released for it's next modification.
The 08 cooper S (hers) only has a couple mods so far: John cooper works exterior upgrades, and window tint.
We have the Alta boost and intake tubes, Larger Intercooler, Downpipe, and exhaust waiting in the garage until break in is completed!

I am mechanically challenged so I don't dare touch my car. It's an '03 Honda Civic and has been running flawless since I bought it. I'll probaby drive this car until it physically gives up and dies. I tend to take it into the dealer for the 5,000 mile check-ups and oil changes, and otherwise don't touch it. The only things I've done are the followig:
Put air in the tires.
Refill Windshield Washer Fluid.
Replace Driver's Side mirror. (Some ass-hole knocked my mirror off in the parking lot of a golf course. Pissed me off when I got back and just saw a note that said "sorry" but no insurance or payment for the damages).
Replace windshield wipers.
Refill gas tank. (Ever week it seems. :'()

Wow. You guys do some pretty cool work.
I modded the hell out of my Jeep this afternoon... Gave it a power lock on the drivers side. Good stuff, eh? Now I just need to buy a lock remote...

Probably won't interest the Americans but Istarted with a crappy old Metro, moved on to MG Metro with a naff kit, stepped up to a Black Pug 205 1.6 GTI, then Decided I wanted to go convertible but loved the 205 handling, so pushed the boat out and bought a limited edition mint condition green Pug 205 CTI cabriolet, which I modded with a fat sound system, custom leather interior and paid to have a full engine rebuild and new hood to keep it looking like new - until some scrote in gimp leathers on a bike smashed into it so hard it was wrote off.
Right now I got a black mkII MR2 which again is kept mint and was to be heavily modified, but I got the taste for power and was going to go all-out with a Mazda RX7. Since having a stroke last year though I've had to become a little more conservative, so will be selling the MR2 and getting an automatic Pug 306 Cabriolet to do up.
