whats the story with that? i was googling for my site to see how well it rates, and i see my you tube vid id posted a while back:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=VcxPz7A90s4
then i notice seemingly the exact same text in another listing. i check it out and its my vid on aol video!
http://video.aol.com/video-detail/arcade-cocktail-cab-with-rotating-monitor/2957754104
is this all they do? mirror youtube for video content? i dont mind, since it probably helps more people find my site. but doesnt it make what aol has to offer a little superfluous?

If there's one word that could sum up AOL for well over a decade, it's superfluous. Back when they were the only thing going, they were fine. Now that there's REAL internet service providers, who the hell needs 'em?

Has it been that long?... wow, yeah, it has been that long. Ever since AOL tried to get into that broadband thing they've pretty much jumped the shark. WTF were they thinking with that? Pay for broadband and pay for AOL service? Stupid. :laugh2:
I checked out AOL on a whim last year and they hid a lot of stuff that I used to play around with when I had their service (yes, I'm sorry). Their entire file section is completely crippled, if you could find it at all. Their permanent topic focused chat rooms are practically dead. And most of the interesting free stuff are now hidden away or completely removed in favor of the advertised or paid junk they now offer.
About the only reason that I can think of that anyone would want to stay with AOL is their McAfee subscription.
Hey, I'm trying to be positive!

AOL was BUILT on superfluous content!

You haven't lived until you've went thru the dreaded AOL cancel.
-
I used to work with AOL UK at Carphone Warehouse and being an AOL user since the old Prodigy days......
The service went through some loops with new equipment, but the cancellation procedures was a joke. FIVE TIMES I was promised my disconnection - not a MAC code and they lied to me every time. Indian call centres was the horror for all UK customers.
In the end I called one of my mates on the Technical helpdesk to get me disconnected. To my surprise I'm still online. :D
Even in the US when I had AOL - they billed me even when I cancelled and was out of the country for five years. Ever tried to get money back from AOL?
:laugh2: Good Luck.
