Juat set up me Pac Drive board with ultralux ultimarc buttons with blue leds. I have been having a problem where P1B4 would light spratically. Checked the voltage on it while it was not lit and it was getting the 11.38V it should be (they are 12v leds). So tried to swap it to a diifferent port on the pac drive, same sparatic lighting. Tried to swap the LED with onther button to see if the problem followed...it stayed with the button so its not the leds problem. I then tried to swap just the housing for the led and the problem followed the housing...Hmm weird. So I took out the housing and examined it, not much to it at all, just 2 metal strips running up either side that are not even close to touching. Could the spring in the button be shorting it? I took the housing out and wrapped some electrical tape around where the bul sits in there thinking there was a minute possibility that the sring was hitting there. So far so good but i have only has it in for a few minutes.
Anyone else ever run into a problem like this?
All the rest are rock solid, no issues, its just with this one!
Thanks

Check the wiring for loose connection both at the Led and at the 12 Volt source. Change the wiring. If its soldered then resolder the solder point, if its not soldered, then I suggesting soldering. No stronger connecting than a solder point. Except flash welding but thats an entirely different thing.

I checked the connections, seems tight. I swapped the LED housings from a known good button to the problem one and the problem followed the housing...weird.....Still so far so good after wrapping with tape. Ill keep this thread updated. Thanks

Cool, although check to see that this housing is EXACTLY the same as the working housing. Even where those metal strips and springs are located. If not, it can be a problem.
