I have viewed instructions how to hack a mouse, but my mouse is different. I am having trouble finding where to hook up the +5V power red and black wires. Here is a picture of my mouse. I'd appreciate any help.

p.s. I am hooking it up to the 3" happ trackball if that makes a difference.

Edit: add to elaborate specifically on the 5v and ground.
As you may have read, most mice will have 5v on the middle pin of the optical receiver.
(on your pic, looks like they're marked Q1 and Q2.) To get ground, just grab it from the ground pin from
one of the microswitches (on the back of the board, you should see which ones are common (joined) from the
microswitches (ground) - and which are isolated).
If you have a multimeter, you can easily check for ground and verify the pin on the optic receiver is 5v.
Some mice do not work for hacks (or not easily) but your appears to be of a kind that is hack friendly.

ive just did the mouse hack not tryed to see if it works yet ( i try on works pc if it blows then i know it didnt work ) any way mine not got ps2 mouse support, anyway my pin for power wasnt the same as on the ps2 shematics and nor was ground so i just solderd the ground to the point where the thick black wire goes ans metered it out to see where the 5 volts went and thet went to the middle of the thing you remove, so i stuck the 5v there, and the x and y axis i just gessed and solderd them anyware on the 2 pins, will note my mistakes and rectify if required (anyway where the hell is x and y? and the wires i know purple and blue is one axis but doesnt say what side they go on or what one of the 2 outside holes they attach to) i tryed a logitec, the middle pins were 5 v but the 2 outside pins went to ground so i gave it up ( waste of a mouse )
