Title: Mame stretching question

I can't get mame NOT to stretch these days.  Is this still possible?  How would I setup the mame.ini to do this?  (It used to be just not having hwstretch and no d3d right?  but still stretching here)

I forget the ranking order, but I'm guessing the game-specific ini's are probably over-riding. I suggest using Mame32 to set up, then use vanilla mame with your fe.
