THat's got me thinking.... what would be cool is a door mat that when stepped on, blasted some dance music and flashed Dance Dance Revolution patterns!!

That reminds me of an idea I had thunk for one of my old apartments, to hide built-in DDR step controllers under the living-room carpet, and add a bunch of extra buttons all across the floor in a matrix just to trigger sounds; the stairs could have been the most fun. I had a projector setup there and was trying to come up with an experimental audiovisual installation for entertainment. It was just a dream project though, and I had enough too many real projects already.

^ That idea would be pretty cool if you had the first step of the staircase being stepped on play the BGM from the first level of Donkey Kong. Make it play until you hit the top step, and have the steps in between those first and last steps make Mario' s walking sounds, jumping sounds, the points earned sound, etc. For the finishing touches, make the last step play the level clear theme. Classic arcade fun. :)

Sound effects on a stairwell. That would be cool! Ascending notes walking up, descending going down. Every day can be like a Looney Tunes cartoon. ;D

Of course, the ultimate pleasure would be a rickroll stairway. ;D

I saw a guy wearing the Pong shirt they also sell, at the Great Midwest Classics show in Oconomowoc WI last month. Was kinda neat :)
