Ok so i am working on an arcade cabinet based off of on of my favorite bands, The Phenomenauts. Emailing the band and their graphic manager i was only able to get what font the band uses. However i can not seem to get it to look anything like the bands logo. When i use the black stroke with the white fill it looks nice but how do i get the grey?
I want the text to look just like the logo but to say "The Phenomenator", its based off of one of their song titles.
Thanks in advanced for any help.

What is the name of the font?
Don't know the font, is it already slightly italicized? It looks like to me, that they just did a simple outline of the font, and then probably an offset for the black and grey outlines. Strokes will always add the color with the path in the middle, so you will lose some of the character shape when adding a stroke.

When i do two strokes it looks wierd though... the font is Serpentine bold opaque

Repeat. Do not use stroke.
Select all of your outlined font characters and offset the path, then send them to the back, change the color and repeat.
